Are my comic files uploaded?
No. Archive parsing, image preparation, PDF creation and downloads happen on your device. Analytics do not receive filenames, page images or ComicInfo contents.
Can this convert CBR or RAR?
This release supports CBZ/ZIP with still PNG and RGB/grayscale JPEG pages. CBR/RAR, encrypted archives, animated pages and other image formats are not supported. For your own unlocked CBR, extract it locally and create a ZIP/CBZ copy first.
Does right-to-left reverse all pages?
No. It sets reader direction and chooses right-half-first for split spreads. Your chosen source-page order is unchanged.
Are original images recompressed?
Untouched image bytes are preserved in the rebuilt CBZ. Split or grayscale/resized pages become new PNG files. The PDF embeds the prepared images and does not add OCR.
Will unknown ComicInfo fields survive?
Unknown XML elements and attributes are retained semantically, while selected overrides, page indices, page dimensions and PageCount are updated. XML whitespace may change. Ambiguous or malformed metadata is refused.
What are the limits?
40 MiB compressed, 96 MiB expanded, 24 MiB per archive entry, 3,000 entries, 200 source/output pages, 24 megapixels per image and 100 megapixels across selected images. Processed output is limited to 128 MiB. EXIF-rotated JPEGs must be normalized before import.
